Garden Layout & Recreational Fish Species
- 60 US dollars$60
- Cedar Rock Gardens
This session will focus on how to view your growing space as a holistic unit. Tucker Smith will discuss how to map your growing space, design perennial gardens, layout annual vegetable gardens, and place fruit tree or berry crops. He’ll demonstrate how these concepts are utilized on his own property. As water temperatures warm in mid-April, species like mackerel, striped bass, and winter flounder will be right around the corner. You will learn about the natural history of these species, including the timing of their arrival, and how the ecology of these species can inform how to best capture them. We’ll also introduce the basics of recreational fishing, including knots, general locations, and successful techniques. Our focus will be on species that are easily accessible to the average angler from shore or a small boat.
