SESSION 2

The Spring Bloom

  • Ended
  • 60 US dollars
  • Cedar Rock Gardens

Service Description

Spring brings dramatic changes as the soils and waters of Cape Ann awaken. We will discuss how shifts in temperature, light, and moisture result in the proliferation of plants and animals on the farm, in the garden, and in the marine environment in Gulf of Maine. Tucker Smith will focus on how to utilize these spring-induced shifts in the environment to most effectively plant and nurture your spring garden. Get to know your classmates as you enjoy a tour of Cedar Rock Gardens' spring production. Capt. Joe Sanfillipo will introduce marine electronics and how to best utilize bottom sounders (e.g. “fish finders”), GPS plotters, and other navigational equipment in the coming season.
