Service Description
Merging fishing, farming & ecosystem science Joe Sanfilippo, Tucker Smith & Bart Difiore Spring brings dramatic changes as the soils and waters of Cape Ann awaken. We will discuss how shifts in temperature, light, and moisture result in the proliferation of plants and animals on the farm and in the ocean of the Gulf of Maine. Tucker Smith will focus on how to utilize these shifts in the environment, to plant your spring garden. You will get a tour of spring production at Cedar Rock Gardens. Capt. Joe Sanfillipo will introduce marine electronics and how to best utilize bottom sounders (e.g. “fish finders”), GPS plotters, and other navigational equipment in the coming season.

Because some classes require knowing attendance ahead of time, in order to prepare, we ask you to cancel a week before the class start-date to receive a full refund.
