Service Description
Merging fishing, farming & ecosystem science Joe Sanfilippo, Tucker Smith, Bart Difiore We will focus on how to view your growing space as a holistic unit. We will discuss how to map your growing space, design perennial gardens, layout annual vegetable gardens, and where to place fruit tree or berry crops. We will demonstrate how these concepts are utilized at Cedar Rock Gardens. As water temperatures warm in mid-April, species like mackerel, striped bass, and winter flounder will be right around the corner. We will talk about the natural history of these species, including the timing of their arrival and how the ecology of these species can inform how best to capture them. We’ll also introduce the basics of recreational fishing, including knots, general locations, and successful techniques. Our focus will be on species that are easily accessible to the average angler from shore or a small boat.
