Matt Natti will lead a guided walking tour though the “Natti Woodland” at the end of Quarry St. As an avid gatherer, Matt will discuss the myriad species that can be collected from our local forests.
The course will meet at the end of Quarry Street at the Essex County Greenbelt Association parking area. Please note, this class will involve extensive walking / light hiking. Please plan accordingly and bring appropriate clothing, footwear, and a backpack w/ water and a snack.
Matt Natti, the owner of Cape Ann Tree Service, is a lifelong resident of Gloucester (give or take some adventures "off island" now and again). He has been hunting, fishing, and foraging things here for much of his life. He holds a degree in Urban Forestry and prefers "knowing" as much of his food on a personal level as possible.
